CODE-SWITCHING FOUND IN “ABIBAYU TALKS ABOUT THE AMBITION OF CONTENT MAKING” ON SPOTIFY

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis alih kode dan menganalisis alasan alih kode yang ditemukan dalam the Friday Podcast: Abibayu Talks about the Ambition of Content Making. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan mengambil data dari salah satu podcast di The Friday Podcast. Studi ini menggunakan teori Poplack (1980) dalam mengkategorikan jenis-jenis alih kode. Teori Hoffmann (1991) digunakan untuk pemeriksaan alasan alih kode. Sumber data berisi tiga jenis alih kode yang berbeda, yaitu; tag-switching, inter-sentential switching, dan intra-sentential switching. Hanya ada enam dari tujuh alasan alih kode yang teridentifikasi seperti mengungkapkan perasaan tentang sesuatu, interjeksi, maksud mengklarifikasi tuturan untuk lawan bicara, membicarakan topik tertentu, mengutip kata-kata seseorang, dan pengulangan yang digunakan untuk klarifikasi. Berdasarkan temuan, peralihan intra-sentential switching mendominasi alih kode dan pembicaraan tentang topik tertentu merupakan kejadian yang paling dominan dalam alasan alih kode.References
