Abstract

Tuberkulosis (TBC) pada anak-anak merupakan masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang signifikan, terutama di wilayah dengan sumber daya terbatas seperti Puskesmas Nguter Sukoharjo. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami dinamika penularan TBC pada anak, pengetahuan masyarakat, dan efektivitas strategi pencegahan dan pengobatan yang ada. Studi kasus ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui wawancara mendalam dengan keluarga pasien anak yang terdiagnosis TBC. Data dikumpulkan mengenai pengetahuan mereka tentang TBC, pengalaman dengan gejala, diagnosis, pengobatan, dan pencegahan. Analisis tematik dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi pola dan tema utama. Hasil menunjukkan adanya kesenjangan pengetahuan tentang TBC, termasuk cara penularan dan spektrum gejala. Meskipun ada upaya sosialisasi oleh petugas kesehatan, masih terdapat kekurangan dalam pemahaman masyarakat tentang sumber dan penularan penyakit. Kepatuhan terhadap pengobatan yang berkepanjangan terbukti menjadi tantangan, dengan beberapa keluarga melaporkan kesulitan dalam mengikuti regimen pengobatan yang diperlukan. Studi ini menyoroti pentingnya pendidikan kesehatan yang lebih komprehensif dan intervensi yang ditargetkan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kepatuhan terhadap pengobatan TBC. Diperlukan strategi yang lebih efektif untuk mengatasi hambatan dalam deteksi dini, pengobatan, dan pencegahan TBC pada anak-anak di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Nguter Sukoharjo.
