PENINGKATAN PENGETAHUAN FOOD SAFETY, HYGIENE PERSONAL DAN SANITASI PADA IBU RUMAH TANGGA UNTUK PENCEGAHAN STUNTING

Stunting adalah salah satu kasus kesehatan masyarakat yang utama di Indonesia. Memberikan edukasi tentang food safety, hygiene personal dan sanitasi pada ibu rumah tangga untuk pencegahan stunting akan membantu memberikan pemahaman terhadap masyarakat sebagai upaya pencegahan stunting. Data Riset Kesehatan Dasar (Riskedas) menunjukan bahwa prevalensi stunting pada balita di Indonesia tahun 2023 sebesar 17% dan untuk daerah NTB terdapat balita stunting sebanyak 13,49%. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatakan pengetahuan ibu tentang food safety, hygiene personal dan sanitasi pada ibu rumah tangga untuk pencegahan stunting stunting di Desa Banyumulek Kecamatan Kediri, Kabupaten Lombok Barat, NTB. Pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini berupa Pendidikan kesehatan dengan metode ceramah dan tanya jawab tentang materi yang telah disampaikan. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan memberikan materi-materi yang membahas tentang food safety, hygiene personal dan sanitasi pada ibu rumah tangga untuk pencegahan stunting. Sasaran dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah ibu rumah tangga yang ada Desa Banyumulek sebanyak 28 responden. Hasil evaluasi kegiatan ini menunjukan pengetahuan ibu tentang food safety, hygiene personal dan sanitasi untuk pencegahan stunting sebelum diberikan pendidikan kesehatan sebagian besar kurang dan setelah diberikan pendidikan kesehatan sebagian besar baik. Peningkatan pengetahuan diharapkan dapat mendorong ibu untuk memberikan nutrisi yang aman dan baik kepada anaknya. Sehingga diharapkan pemberian informasi ini perlu dilakukan secara berkelanjutan oleh pemerintah daerah secara massif dan terstruktur.References
