Hasil isolasi yang diperoleh dari satu spot FTIR menunjukkan spektrum flavonol dengan gugus karboksil pada bilangan gelombang 1737,73 cm-1.Kata Kunci: Momordica charantia, Isolasi, FTIR.AbstractWHO has recommended herbal medicine to maintain health, prevent and treat disease, especially degenerative diseases such as hyperlipidemia. Bitter melon seeds (Momordica charantia) contain ingredients that are thought to have an effect on hyperlipidemia, namely flavonoids, saponins and tannins. Apart from that, bitter melon seeds contain chemical compounds such as momordisin, momordin, quarantine, tricosanic acid, resin, resinic acid, saponin, vitamins A and C, as well as fatty oils such as oleic acid, linoleic acid, stearic acid and oleostearic acid. One compound that can be used as an antioxidant is flavonoids, which can stop fatty acid metabolism by stopping the pancreatic lipase enzyme. The aim of this research was to find the compound content in bitter melon seed isolates. Maceration was used as an extraction method, fractionation was carried out using the liquid-liquid partition method, isolation was carried out using a chromatotron, and compounds were identified using FTIR. Based on the maceration results, the yield was 24.08 and the fractionation results in each solvent showed that the weight of the ethyl acetate fraction was 2.92 grams with a yield of 2.42% and n-hexane was 3.27 grams with a yield of 2.71%. The isolation results obtained from one FTIR spot showed a flavonol spectrum with a carboxyl group at a wave number of 1737.73 cm-1.Downloads
