Abstract

Dana PKH merupakan salah satu bentuk bantuan pemerintah bagi penduduk miskin di bidang pendidikan dan kesehatan yang bertujuan untuk membantu rumah tangga miskin agar memiliki akses pada pendidikan bagi anak – anak  usia sekolah  dan pemeriksaan kesehatan rutin bagi ibu hamil dan menyusui dengan menggunakan fasilitas kesehatan yang disediakan oleh pemerintah. Dana PKH ini diberikan dalam bentuk uang tunai yang diterima oleh RT miskin setiap tiga atau empat bulan sekali dalam setahun. Namun yang menjadi masalah  apakah uang PKH yang diterima oleh RT miskin ini  benar-benar dimanfaatkan untuk kebutuhan pendidikan anak-anak usia sekolah dan kesehatan ibu hamil dan menyusui?  Hal ini menjadi menarik untuk diketahui. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilaksanakan di desa Kambata Tana dalam bentuk sosialisasi kepada masyarakat penerima dana bantuan PKH, dengan maksud; Pertama, masyarakat dapat terus dingatkan dan memiliki pemahaman yang tepat agar dana PKH yang sudah diterima, memang digunakan sesuai kebutuhan pendidikan dan kesehatan  Kedua, membantu pemerintah desa setempat agar program pemberian PKH dapat tepat sasaran dan bermanfaat bagi RT miskin di desa Kambata Tana. Hasil sosialisasi menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar rumah tangga miskin telah mengetahui dan memahami tujuan program PKH. Namun yang masih menjadi kendala adalah konsekuensi dari penerapan PKH yang belum dipahami dengan baik, sehingga menimbulkan belum maksimalnya perubahan perilaku dalam rumah tangga terutama dalam aspek pendidikan dan kesehatan.
