HUBUNGAN TEMAN SEBAYA DENGAN PERILAKU MEROKOK REMAJA : META-ANALISIS DI ASIA TENGGARA

Merokok di kalangan remaja tetap menjadi tantangan kesehatan masyarakat utama di Asia Tenggara, di mana lingkungan sosial sangat memengaruhi perilaku terkait kesehatan. Selama masa remaja, kebutuhan akan penerimaan sosial dan afiliasi kelompok meningkatkan kerentanan terhadap pengaruh teman sebaya, menjadikan kebiasaan merokok teman sebaya sebagai penentu penting perilaku merokok. Studi ini bertujuan untuk meneliti hubungan antara kebiasaan merokok teman sebaya dan perilaku merokok remaja di Asia Tenggara melalui meta-analisis. Pencarian literatur dilakukan menggunakan database PubMed, SAGE, dan EBSCO untuk mengidentifikasi studi observasional yang diterbitkan antara tahun 2015 dan 2025. Studi yang memenuhi syarat mencakup remaja berusia 10–19 tahun dan melaporkan hubungan antara kebiasaan merokok teman sebaya dan perilaku merokok. Data disintesis menggunakan random effect model, dan ukuran efek gabungan dinyatakan sebagai odds ratio (OR) dengan interval kepercayaan 95% (CI). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa remaja yang memiliki teman sebaya perokok secara signifikan lebih cenderung terlibat dalam perilaku merokok dibandingkan dengan mereka yang tidak memiliki teman sebaya perokok (OR = 2,32; 95% CI: 1,89–2,84). Hasil ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya strategi pengendalian tembakau yang melampaui intervensi tingkat individu dengan menggabungkan pendekatan berbasis teman sebaya, program yang berpusat di sekolah, dan modifikasi norma sosial untuk secara efektif mencegah inisiasi merokok di kalangan remaja.References
