UPAYA MENURUNKAN JUMLAH KASUS DIABETES MELLITUS PADA MASYARAKAT DESA TALAGASARI, WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS CIKUPA

Secara global, sekitar 589 juta individu berusia 20-79 tahun mengalami diabetes mellitus (DM), yang mewakili 1 dari 9 orang dewasa di dunia dan akan mencapai 853 juta pada tahun 2050. Indonesia berada pada urutan ke-5 dengan jumlah kasus DM tertinggi di seluruh dunia dengan prevalensi sebesar 10,9% pada tahun 2018. Puskesmas Cikupa melaporkan kasus DM sebagai peringkat ke-9 sepanjang tahun 2024 namun naik ke peringkat 4 pada Desember 2024 hingga Januari 2025. Kegiatan diagnosis komunitas ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penyebab meningkatnya jumlah kasus DM sehingga dapat dirumuskan solusi dengan tujuan untuk menurunkan jumlah kasus DM di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Cikupa. Paradigma Blum digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi penyebab dari masalah yang dihadapi. Setelah itu ditentukan prioritas masalah menggunakan teknik non skoring Delphi dan akar penyebab masalah menggunakan diagram fishbone. Kegiatan dimonitoring menggunakan PDCA cycle dan evaluasi kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan sistem. Ditemukan bahwa penyebab yang berkontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan kasus DM adalah faktor lifestyle. Dalam studi ini terjadi peningkatan skor pengetahuan yang substansial, yaitu dari 90% peserta dengan skor pre-test < 85 menjadi 80% peserta dengan skor post-test ³ 85. Intervensi yang dilakukan hanya dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat dalam jangka pendek sehingga diharapkan dapat terjadi penurunan jumlah kasus DM di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Cikupa pada jangka panjang.References
