INTERVENSI UNTUK MENURUNKAN KASUS KONJUNGTIVITIS PADA REMAJA DI DESA MUNCUNG, WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS KRONJO

Kasus konjungtivitis di United State mengalami pemuncakan pada anak berusia < 7 tahun dan puncak sekunder pada awal masa dewasa. Studi di RSU Dr. Soetomo Surabaya, mengungkapkan bahwa anak usia 0-9 tahun memiliki prevalensi konjungtivitis tertinggi (19,32%), diikuti oleh remaja berusia 10-19 tahun (14,08%). Penyakit konjungtivitis yang dilaporkan di Puskesmas Kronjo mengalami lonjakan kasus sebesar 290% dalam triwulan terakhir. Walaupun penyakit ini sering dianggap tidak berbahaya namun konjungtivitis dapat menyebabkan penurunan kualitas hidup dan menyebabkan penyebaran di komunitas. Pendekatan diagnosis dalam studi ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor yang berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan kasus konjungtivitis sehingga dapat diusulkan strategi efektif guna menurunkan jumlah kasus penyakit ini. Paradigma Blum digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi penyebab permasalahan. Penentuan prioritas masalah menggunakan teknik non skoring Delphi sedangkan penentuan akar penyebab masalah menggunakan diagram fishbone. Kegiatan dalam studi ini dipantau dengan PDCA-cycle dan dievaluasi dengan pendekatan sistem. Peningkatan kasus konjungtivitis di Puskesmas Kronjo, disebabkan karena kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai konjungtivitis. Dari 50 orang siswa/I yang hadir, didapatkan rentang usia 11-15 tahun. Studi ini menemukan terjadi peningkatan persentase nilai ³ 70 poin dari 64% pada pre-test menjadi 98% pada post-test. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa intervensi yang dilakukan efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan perilaku siswa/I terkait pencegahan konjungtivitis sehingga diharapkan dapat menurunkan jumlah kasus konjungtivitis di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Kronjo.References
