REGRESI SPONTAN DIAMETER ATRIAL SEPTAL DEFECT PADA BAYI

Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) merupakan salah satu penyakit jantung bawaan yang sering ditemukan, terutama pada anak-anak. Ukuran defek yang kecil umumnya bersifat asimtomatik dan dapat mengalami regresi atau penutupan spontan seiring pertumbuhan, meskipun hal ini belum banyak dilaporkan. Laporan kasus ini memaparkan perjalanan klinis seorang bayi laki-laki berusia empat bulan 27 hari yang datang dengan keluhan batuk dan pilek tanpa tanda atau gejala kelainan jantung. Pemeriksaan ekokardiografi awal menunjukkan ASD tipe ostium secundum berukuran 4,64 mm dengan aliran kiri ke kanan. Pemantauan lanjutan tiga bulan kemudian menunjukkan ukuran defek menurun menjadi 4 mm, dan pada pemeriksaan berikutnya berkurang menjadi 3 mm. Selama periode tersebut, pasien tetap asimtomatik dengan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan yang sesuai usia serta hasil pemeriksaan jantung yang normal. Kasus ini menggambarkan kemungkinan terjadinya regresi spontan akibat ukuran defek yang kecil, deteksi pada usia dini, dan pertambahan berat badan yang baik seiring usia. Kesimpulannya, pemantauan secara berkala dengan ekokardiografi memiliki peran penting dalam menilai perubahan ukuran defek dan menentukan kebutuhan intervensi, menekankan bahwa observasi jangka panjang dapat menjadi pendekatan yang tepat untuk ASD dengan ukuran kecil dan kondisi klinis stabil sebelum mempertimbangkan tindakan invasif.References
