PERAN TINGGI BADAN IBU DAN PEMBERIAN ASI EKSKLUSIF TERHADAP KEJADIAN STUNTING BALITA

Stunting, sebagai bentuk malnutrisi kronis, masih merupakan persoalan kesehatan masyarakat yang penting di Indonesia, dengan implikasi serius terhadap perkembangan fisik, kognitif, dan produktivitas individu di masa mendatang. Faktor maternal seperti tinggi badan ibu serta pemberian ASI eksklusif memegang peranan penting pada penentuan status pertumbuhan anak. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan menelaah bagaimana tinggi badan ibu serta praktik ASI eksklusif berperan pada munculnya stunting anak balita pada wilayah Puskesmas Gatak, Kabupaten Sukoharjo. Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan design cross-sectional, melibatkan 72 ibu yang memiliki anak usia 6-59 bulan, dipilih melalui teknik consecutive non probability random sampling. Pengumpulan data melalui wawancara serta pengukuran antropometri, diikuti analisis menerapkan uji Chi-Square serta regresi logistik ganda. Temuan memperlihatkan hubungan antara tinggi badan ibu pada kejadian stunting (p < 0,001; OR = 22,081; 95% Cl = 3,946-123,636) serta antara pemberian ASI eksklusif dengan stunting (p < 0,001; OR = 42,887; 95% Cl = 5,708-322,426). Analisis multivariat mengungkapkan bahwa tinggi badan ibu memberi oengaruh signifikan pada stunting (p < 0,001; OR = 22,081; 95% CI = 3,530-138,132), sementara pemberian ASI eksklusif menjadi faktor dominan (p < 0,001; OR = 42,887; 95% CI = 4,389-419,092). Kedua variabel berkontribusi sebesar 59,7% (Nagelkerke R² = 0,597) pada kejadian stunting. Upaya intervensi, seperti peningkatan nutrisi maternal dan promosi ASI eksklusif perlu diperkuat sejak masa kehamilan hingga awal kehidupan anak untuk mencegah stunting.References
