EFEKTIVITAS LATIHAN MUSCLE ENERGY TECHNIQUE PADA LOW BACK PAIN KRONIK NON SPESIFIK : A NARRATIVE REVIEW

Low back pain kronik non spesifik merupakan salah satu penyebab utama disabilitas global dan berkaitan erat dengan gangguan fungsional tulang belakang lumbal. Muscle energy technique (MET) merupakan intervensi fisioterapi yang banyak digunakan untuk meningkatkan fleksibilitas otot dan mobilitas sendi melalui kontraksi isometrik terarah. Penelitian ini bertujuan meninjau efektivitas MET pada pasien Low back pain kronik non spesifik melalui narrative review menggunakan pendekatan PRISMA. Pencarian artikel dilakukan melalui Google Scholar, Science Direct dan PubMed dengan kata kunci “Low back pain”, “Non Specific”, “Chronic” dan “Muscle energy technique”, dengan kriteria inklusi publikasi tahun 2015–2025, desain RCT dan jumlah sampel >30. Dari 17.945 artikel yang teridentifikasi, empat studi memenuhi kriteria PICO dan dianalisis lebih lanjut. Hasil sintesis menunjukkan bahwa MET efektif dalam menurunkan intensitas nyeri, meningkatkan fleksibilitas otot hamstring, memperbaiki kontrol postural, dan mengurangi tingkat disabilitas, serta kombinasi MET dengan teknik lain memberikan hasil yang lebih signifikan dibandingkan intervensi tunggal. Kesimpulannya, MET merupakan intervensi fisioterapi konservatif yang efektif dalam meningkatkan fungsi muskuloskeletal pada pasien Low back pain kronik non spesifik, meskipun penelitian lebih lanjut dengan kualitas metodologis yang kuat masih diperlukan untuk memperkuat bukti efektivitas jangka panjang.References
