THE CHARACTERISTICS URINARY TRACT INFECTION AND ANTIMICROBIAL SENSITIVITY PATTERNS IN PREGNANT WOMEN

Infeksi saluran kemih (ISK) merupakan salah satu komplikasi obstetri paling umum dengan dampak serius terhadap kesehatan ibu dan janin. Penelitian ini bertujuan menggambarkan karakteristik ISK pada kehamilan serta pola sensitivitas antimikroba berdasarkan tinjauan literatur terbaru. Analisis dilakukan terhadap publikasi internasional tahun 2020–2025 melalui PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, dan ScienceDirect. Hasil telaah menunjukkan prevalensi ISK pada ibu hamil berkisar antara 18–24 %, dengan Escherichia coli sebagai patogen dominan sekitar 70 %. Resistensi antimikroba ditemukan meningkat secara global, terutama pada Gram-positif terhadap ampisilin, sementara pola regional memperlihatkan variasi yang signifikan. Selain itu, meta-analisis menegaskan bahwa ISK meningkatkan risiko persalinan prematur hampir dua kali lipat. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya skrining rutin, pemilihan antibiotik yang rasional, serta kebijakan pengendalian resistensi untuk menurunkan risiko komplikasi obstetri.References
