PERBEDAAN AKTIVITAS FISIK DAN PERTUMBUHAN LINEAR SISWA SDIT INSAN PERMATA BERDASARKAN JENIS KELAMIN

Aktivitas fisik pada anak usia sekolah memiliki peran penting dalam mendukung perkembangan fisik dan kesehatan anak. Salah satu indikator pertumbuhan fisik yang digunakan adalah pertumbuhan linear, yang biasanya diukur melalui tinggi badan yang dikaitkan dengan usia. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat aktivitas fisik dengan pertumbuhan linear serta perbedaannya berdasarkan jenis kelamin pada siswa kelas V dan VI di SDIT Insan Permata, Kota Malang. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui Physical Activity Questionnaire for Children (PAQ-C) untuk menilai tingkat aktivitas fisik, serta pengukuran antropometri untuk menghitung z-score tinggi badan menurut umur (TB/U) sebagai indikator pertumbuhan linear. Dari total 195 siswa, sebanyak 53% tergolong memiliki aktivitas fisik tinggi, sedangkan 47% termasuk kategori kurang aktif. Sebagian besar responden (93,8%) menunjukkan pertumbuhan linear yang normal, sementara sisanya mengalami gangguan pertumbuhan seperti pendek (stunted). Temuan analisis statistik memperlihatkan ditemukannya pengaruh positif signifikan di antara tingkat aktivitas fisik dan pertumbuhan linear (p < 0,05). Selain itu, terdapat perbedaan tingkat aktivitas fisik berdasarkan jenis kelamin, di mana siswa laki-laki umumnya lebih aktif daripada siswa perempuan. Perbedaan ini dipengaruhi oleh faktor sosial budaya dan biologis, seperti kecenderungan pubertas dini pada perempuan. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya aktivitas fisik yang memadai dalam mendukung pertumbuhan linear anak usia sekolah, serta perlunya lingkungan sekolah yang mendorong gaya hidup aktif untuk mendukung perkembangan anak secara optimal.References
