TORSION OF THE TESTICULAR APPENDIX IN ADULT MALE : A RARE CASE REPORT

Torsio apendiks testis terjadi saat apendiks yang melekat pada testis mengalami puntiran. Apendiks ini tidak berfungsi pada pria dewasa dan merupakan sisa perkembangan embrionik. Nyeri skrotum akut merupakan keluhan gawat darurat yang umum, terutama pada anak-anak dan remaja, dengan torsio apendiks testis menyumbang 46–71% kasus. Operasi hanya diperlukan jika torsio testis tidak dapat disingkirkan. Seorang pria 20 tahun datang dengan keluhan nyeri testis kiri selama 2 hari. Pemeriksaan fisik menunjukkan nyeri dan tanda titik biru pada skrotum kiri. Tes laboratorium normal. Ultrasonografi menunjukkan kista epididimis kiri. Eksplorasi bedah mengonfirmasi torsio apendiks testis kiri. Kasus ini menekankan pentingnya diagnosis dan penanganan cepat torsio apendiks testis. Meskipun jarang, operasi diperlukan bila gejala berlanjut atau memburuk.References
