STUDI KUALITATIF PENGALAMAN MENYUSUI IBU USIA REMAJA DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS SASI KECAMATAN KOTA KEFAMENANU KABUPATEN TIMOR TENGAH UTARA

Kehamilan pada usia remaja berdampak pada rendahnya praktik pemberian ASI eksklusif. Ibu usia remaja menghadapi tantangan biologis, emosional dan sosial budaya yang mempengaruhi keputusan ibu remaja dalam menyusui. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan pengalaman menyusui pada ibu usia remaja di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Sasi, Kecamatan Kota Kefamenanu, Kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan desain fenomenologi. Informan utama terdiri dari enam ibu remaja yang melahirkan pada usia ≤19 tahun dan memiliki anak usia 0-24 bulan, informan pendukung terdiri dari enam anggota keluarga, satu petugas kesehatan dan satu kader posyandu. Informan dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan pedoman wawancara semi-terstruktur dan analisis data dilakukan secara tematik. Hasil penelitian mengidentifikasi lima tema utama: niat menyusui, pemikiran dan perasaan selama proses menyusui, referensi menyusui, dukungan sosial, dan norma sosial dan budaya. Ibu remaja tetap menyusui karena menyadari manfaat ASI, meski dihadapkan pada hambatan seperti nyeri payudara, keraguan terhadap produksi ASI, dan tekanan sosial. Pengalaman menyusui ibu usia remaja bersifat kompleks dan dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal dan eksternal. Dukungan emosional dan informasi dari keluarga serta tenaga kesehatan diperlukan untuk meningkatkan keberhasilan menyusui pada kelompok ibu usia remaja.References
