TEKNIK RADIOTERAPI INTENSITY-MODULATED RADIATION THERAPY (IMRT) PADA KASUS GLIOBLASTOMA MULTIFORME DENGAN KOMPLIKASI BEDAH CRANIUM DI RUMAH SAKIT MRCCC SILOAM SEMANGGI

Radioterapi pada glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) dalam berbagai literatur menunjukkan bahwa teknik Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT) lebih efisien dibandingkan Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) dalam hal waktu perawatan, tanpa mengurangi efektivitas. Namun, di RS MRCCC Siloam Semanggi masih diterapkan teknik IMRT melalui tahapan konsultasi, CT simulasi, perencanaan dengan Treatment Planning System (TPS), hingga penyinaran menggunakan linear accelerator. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana teknik IMRT membantu meningkatkan efektivitas pengobatan pada pasien GBM dengan komplikasi bedah kranium. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus kualitatif di Unit Radioterapi RS MRCCC Siloam Jakarta pada Februari–Mei 2025, dengan partisipan terdiri dari 3 radioterapis (RTT), 1 fisikawan medis, dan 1 dokter onkologi radiasi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara, lalu dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan IMRT pada pasien GBM dilakukan secara sistematis melalui tahapan yang telah ditetapkan, dan mampu memberikan distribusi dosis radiasi yang tepat serta merata pada area tumor, sekaligus meminimalkan paparan pada jaringan sehat di sekitarnya. Simpulan dari studi ini adalah bahwa teknik IMRT efektif dalam memberikan dosis yang aman dan akurat bagi pasien GBM, sehingga menjadi pilihan utama dalam terapi radioterapi di RS MRCCC Siloam Semanggi.References
