EFEKTIVITAS TERAPI ANTARA TERAPI MANUVER EPLEY, BRANDT DAROFF, TERAPI KOMBINASI MANUVER EPLEY DAN BRANDT DAROFF PADA PASIEN BENIGN PAROXYSMAL POSITIONAL VERTIGO

Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) merupakan salah satu penyebab vertigo perifer yang paling umum dan sering ditangani dengan terapi manuver reposisi berdasarkan teori cupulolithiasis dan canalithiasis. Tujuan utama dari manuver-manuver ini adalah untuk mengembalikan partikel otokonia yang terlepas ke dalam makula utrikularis, sehingga gejala vertigo yang dirasakan pasien dapat berkurang atau hilang. Meskipun manuver Epley banyak digunakan secara klinis, masih terdapat banyak publikasi yang membahas dan membandingkan efektivitas berbagai manuver untuk mencari metode yang paling ideal dalam menangani BPPV. Manuver yang ideal adalah manuver yang tidak hanya efektif menyembuhkan BPPV dengan cepat, tetapi juga mampu mengurangi angka kekambuhan. Penelitian ini merupakan studi literatur dengan pendekatan sistematik review mengenai terapi manuver pada BPPV. Sebanyak 20 jurnal ilmiah dikumpulkan, ditelaah, dan disintesis oleh peneliti menjadi satu data yang komprehensif untuk dilaporkan. Hasil penelaahan dari berbagai artikel penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manuver Epley memiliki tingkat keberhasilan penyembuhan yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan manuver Brandt-Daroff. Namun, kombinasi terapi antara manuver Epley dan Brandt-Daroff menunjukkan hasil yang lebih baik dalam menyembuhkan BPPV dibandingkan dengan penggunaan manuver Epley secara tunggal. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa manuver Epley terbukti efektif sebagai terapi utama pada BPPV, namun pendekatan kombinasi antara manuver Epley dan Brandt-Daroff memberikan hasil yang lebih optimal dalam penanganan BPPVReferences
