PATCH TRANSDERMAL VS. ORAL BISOPROLOL PADA HIPERTENSI: MANA YANG LEBIH EFEKTIF? SEBUAH META-ANALISIS

Bisoprolol, sebuah beta-blocker yang digunakan dalam pengelolaan hipertensi, tersedia dalam bentuk oral dan patch transdermal. Meskipun patch transdermal menawarkan kemudahan penggunaan dan kemungkinan efek samping sistemik yang lebih rendah, efektivitasnya dibandingkan dengan bentuk oral belum terjamin secara menyeluruh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan efektivitas bisoprolol dalam bentuk patch transdermal dengan bentuk oral dalam pengendalian tekanan darah pada pasien hipertensi melalui meta-analisis studi klinis yang relevan. Pencarian literatur dilakukan melalui database elektronik seperti pubmed, google scholar, ScienceDirect dan connected papers, dengan memilih artikel yang membandingkan efektivitas bisoprolol patch transdermal dan oral dalam mengontrol tekanan darah. Data yang diperoleh dari artikel tersebut dianalisis secara kuantitatif menggunakan model efek tetap dan efek acak untuk menentukan perbedaan dalam penurunan tekanan darah sistolik dan diastolik antara kedua formulasi. Analisis meta menunjukkan bahwa baik bisoprolol dalam bentuk patch transdermal maupun bentuk oral efektif dalam menurunkan tekanan darah pada pasien hipertensi. Namun, perbedaan efektivitas antara kedua formulasi tergantung pada parameter yang diukur. Formulasi oral menunjukkan penurunan tekanan darah yang sedikit lebih besar dibandingkan dengan patch transdermal, namun patch transdermal memiliki keuntungan dalam hal kepatuhan terapi dan efek samping sistemik yang lebih minimal. Meskipun bisoprolol patch transdermal menawarkan beberapa keuntungan terkait kepatuhan dan tolerabilitas, bisoprolol bentuk patch transdermal menunjukkan efektivitas yang sedikit lebih baik dalam menurunkan tekanan darah, tetapi membutuhkan biaya jauh lebih tinggi. Keputusan terapi harus mempertimbangkan kebutuhan individual pasien serta preferensi dalam pengelolaan efek samping dan kepatuhan pengobatan. Penelitian lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk mengevaluasi manfaat jangka panjang dari masing-masing formulasi dalam konteks klinis yang lebih luas.References
