KORELASI SOSIODEMOGRAFI DAN KULTURAL DENGAN PRAKTIK KEBERSIHAN MENSTRUASI PADA REMAJA PUTRI DI AKADEMI ANALIS KESEHATAN PUTRA JAYA BATAM

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi praktik kebersihan menstruasi pada remaja putri di Akademi Analis Kesehatan Putra Jaya Batam serta menganalisis berbagai faktor yang mempengaruhi praktik tersebut. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada periode 1 Juni hingga 30 Juni 2024 dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 60 remaja putri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas responden (88%) memiliki praktik kebersihan menstruasi yang tergolong baik, seperti mengganti pembalut secara teratur, menjaga kebersihan area genital, dan menggunakan air bersih. Faktor pendidikan ibu terbukti memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap praktik kebersihan menstruasi; remaja putri yang memiliki ibu dengan pendidikan di atas tingkat SMA atau perguruan tinggi menunjukkan perilaku kebersihan yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan yang ibunya berpendidikan SD atau SMP. Selain itu, pendapatan keluarga juga berperan, di mana remaja putri dari keluarga dengan pendapatan di atas Upah Minimum Provinsi (UMP) cenderung memiliki praktik kebersihan menstruasi yang lebih optimal. Menariknya, perbedaan agama tidak menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan terhadap praktik kebersihan menstruasi. Namun, keragaman suku memperlihatkan pengaruh, di mana remaja putri dari etnis Jawa cenderung memiliki praktik kebersihan yang kurang baik, yang kemungkinan besar berkaitan dengan faktor budaya dan tradisi yang masih kuat. Keyakinan terhadap tabu menstruasi juga terbukti mempengaruhi praktik, di mana remaja putri yang mempercayai tabu memiliki praktik kebersihan yang lebih rendah. Berdasarkan temuan ini, diperlukan upaya edukasi kesehatan yang lebih komprehensif dan intensif dengan memperhatikan aspek sosial dan budaya, sehingga dapat meningkatkan kesadaran dan perilaku kebersihan menstruasi yang sehat di kalangan remaja putri.References
