KUMAN – KUMAN KOMENSAL PADA OCULAR SURFACE

Bakteri komensal adalah mahluk hidup kecil bersel satu yang hidup Bersama organisme lain, tetapi tidak bersifat merugikan dan mungkin juga bisa menguntungkan (flora normal) Mikroorganisme pada permukaan tubuh bersifat komensal. Permukaan pada bagian tubuh tertentu bergantung pada faktor-faktor biologis seperti suhu, kelembapan dan tidak adanya nutrisi tertetu serta zat-zat penghambat. Flora normal dapat tumbuh terlalu cepat dan menjadi pathogen. Pathogen ini dapat menimbulkan infeksi. Infeksi adalah invasi inang oleh mikroba yang memperbanyak dan berasosiasi dengan jaringan inang. Penelitian ini merupakan literature review dengan desain narrative review. Data yang digunakan berupa studi dari beberapa literature diperoleh menggunakan elektronik based yang terakreditasi/terindeks Scopus dan Sinta seperti DOAJ, Springerlink, Cochrane, Biomed, Portal Garuda, Google Scholar, Elsevier/Clinical Key, Gale PubMed dan sumber database lainnya. Berdasarkan hasil pencarian didapatkan 8 artikel yang relevan untuk digunakan dalam narrative review ini yang menyatakan bahwa usia, jenis kelamin dan pekerjaan seseorang mempengaruhi timbulnya berbagai jenis kuman komensal pada ocula surface manusia. Dari berbagai jurnal yang telah dikumpulkan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kuman – kuman komensal yang paling banyak ditemukan pada ocular superficial adalah Staphylococcus aureus dan Streptococcus pneumoniae.References
