KARAKTERISTIK DEMOGRAFI LANSIA PENDERITA OSTEOARTHRITIS DI PANTI WERDHA KRISTEN HANA

Osteoartritis (OA) menempati peringkat ketujuh sebagai penyebab years lived disability (YLD) pada lansia usia 70 tahun ke atas. Osteoartritis merupakan kondisi kronis yang ditandai dengan rusaknya tulang rawan yang melapisi ujung tulang sendi, dan biasanya semakin memburuk seiring waktu. Penyakit ini sebagian besar menyerang lutut, tangan, dan pinggul, serta dapat sendi lainnya. Beberapa faktor risiko meliputi usia tua, jenis kelamin perempuan, obesitas, dan komorbid berupa hipertensi berperan besar dalam peningkatan kejadian OA. Mengetahui faktor risiko yang dapat dimodifikasi sangat penting untuk mencegah kecacatan dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup lansia. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik serta faktor risiko lansia penderita OA. Penelitian dilakukan secara cross-sectional pada lansia penderita OA di Panti Werda Hana periode Oktober – November 2024 dengan teknik total sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan melakukan uji chi-square. Hasil studi menunjukkan, dari total 90 lansia yang tinggal di Panti Werda Hana, terdapat 26 lansia (28,9%) yang menderita OA. Pasien OA didominasi oleh perempuan (73,1%). Lansia penderita OA paling banyak berada dalam rentang usia 70-79 tahun (46,2%). Sebagian besar lansia (92,3%) mengalami OA di bagian lutut. Sebanyak 76,9% lansia penderita OA memiliki faktor risiko obesitas dan 76,9% memiliki komorbid berupa hipertensi. Pentingnya mengetahui faktor risiko yang dapat dimodifikasi seperti IMT yang tinggi dan pencegahan ataupun penanganan terhadap komorbid yang dialami untuk menurunkan kejadian OA dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup pasien.References
