PERAN KEPEMIMPINAN KEPALA RUANGAN DALAM MENINGKATKAN CARING PERAWAT BERBASIS BUDAYA PAPUA

Caring merupakan sikap kepekaan dan kepedulian perawat terhadap kebutuhan pasien. Caring menjadi nilai esensi penting dalam setiap tindakan yang dilakukan oleh perawat dalam pemberian asuhan kepada setiap pasien. Beberapa pasien sering mengeluh tentang kurangnya sikap caring perawat ruangan dalam membantu kebutuhan pasien. Pemimpin perawat memainkan peran penting dalam menyeimbangkan sistem perawatan kesehatan, staf perawat dan pasien, mempertahankan keandalan yang tinggi dalam layanan perawatan pasien dan memimpin organisasi untuk mencapai tujuan instansi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran kepemimpinan kepala ruangan dalam meningkatkan perilaku caring berbasis budaya Papua. Metodologi kualitatif dengan pendekatan Phenomenologi eksplorative. Metode pengumpulan data, peneliti menggunakan FGD (focus group discussion) secara offline dengan 7 Kepala Ruang di RSUD Abepura Provinsi Papua. Penelitian ini menghasilkan 4 tema meliputi Kepala ruang berperan sebagai pengambil keputusan, perencanaan dan pembagian serta mengevaluasi tugas perawat guna menjamin mutu asuhan keperawatan, perawat memberikan asuhan keperawatan sesuai SOP dan memperhatikan nilai-nilai budaya, bimbingan, pengawasan, kerjasama dan kepercayaan kepal ruang untuk meningkatkan profesionalime perawat, asuhan keperawatan dipengaruhi karakter dan budaya pasien. Kepala ruangan mempunyai peran penting dalam berlangsungnya asuhan keperawatan. Kepala ruangan mempunyai peran sebagai seorang manager dimana ia harus mampu mengatur, membagi maupun mengevaluasi tugas/asuhan keperawatan yang dilakukan oleh perawat sehingga dapat mendorong perilaku caring perawat.References
