DEMAM TIFOID DENGAN INFEKSI SARS CoV-2 DI ERA ENDEMI : SEBUAH LAPORAN KASUS

Demam tifoid merupakan penyakit infeksi bakteri Salmonella enterica khususnya turunannya, yaitu typhi, paratyphi A, B dan C. Secara klasik, demam tifoid dikaitkan dengan demam berkepanjangan dengan pola step ladder, gejala gastrointestinal (seperti mual, muntah, diare, atau konstipasi), sakit kepala, kelelahan, tidak enak badan, kehilangan nafsu makan, dan batuk. SARS CoV-2 saat ini menyebabkan pandemi penyakit yang parah di seluruh dunia, menyebabkan pandemi global. Indonesia saat ini sudah menetapkan SARS CoV-2 sebagai penyakit endemi. Mayoritas orang yang terinfeksi SARS CoV-2 adalah tidak menunjukkan gejala atau mengeluhkan gejala mirip pneumonia yang terdiri dari demam, batuk, sesak napas, dan gejala virus seperti mialgia, kelelahan, dan sakit kepala. Persamaan gejala keduanya menjadi tantangan dokter dalam mendiagnosis. Seorang pria 38 tahun dengan keluhan demam, gangguan gastrointestinal dan mialgia, batuk dengan diagnosis demam tifoid dan SARS-CoV-2. Pasien diberikan terapi antibiotik dan antivirus. Demam, gangguan gastrointestinal, dan batuk merupakan gejala pada demam tifoid yang mana perlu adanya diagnosis banding lain dimasa endemi SARS-CoV-2 sehingga dapat melakukan penatalaksanaan yang tepat. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini yaitu dokter perlu menegakkan diagnosis banding yang lebih lengkap pada pasien dengan gejala demam pada era endemi SARS-CoV-2.References
