Abstract

Obesitas pada remaja merupakan masalah kesehatan yang semakin meningkat dan dapat berdampak jangka panjang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis determinan obesitas pada remaja di Kota Tomohon, dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 154 siswa dari SMA Katolik Karitas Tomohon dan SMK St. Familia Tomohon. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei cross-sectional, dengan pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner dan pengukuran antropometri. Analisis bivariat dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi hubungan antara variabel sosio-demografis, asupan energi, aktivitas fisik, dan pola konsumsi fast food dengan status obesitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan proporsi obesitas sebesar 9,7%. Variabel yang signifikan berhubungan dengan obesitas adalah asupan energi (p-value = 0,023) dan pola konsumsi fast food (p-value = 0,011). Hasil penelitian ini juga menunjukan bahwa pekerjaan ibu, pendidikan orang tua, dan aktivitas fisik tidak menunjukkan hubungan signifikan dengan status obesitas pada populasi yang diteliti. Sehingga yang merupakan determinan obesitas pada remaja di Kota Tomohon yaitu asupan energi dan pola konsumsi fast food. Berdasarkan hasil ini, diperlukan adanya program edukasi yang difokuskan pada pengelolaan asupan energi dan kebiasaan makan sehat untuk mencegah obesitas di kalangan remaja.
