DETERMINAN SIKAP IBU DALAM PRAKTIK PEMBERIAN MAKANAN PENDAMPING ASI DI KABUPATEN SEMARANG

Tingginya prevalensi malnutrisi anak sangat erat kaitannya dengan praktik pemberian makanan pendamping air susu ibu (MP-ASI) yang tidak tepat. Anak usia 6-23 bulan membutuhkan asupan nutrisi yang memadai untuk dapat tumbuh dan berkembang secara optimal, namun pemenuhan kebuhan nutrisi ini dapat terhambat karena praktik pemberian MP-ASI yang tidak tepat. Kabupaten Semarang di Provinsi Jawa Tengah, terus mengalami peningkatan masalah kekurangan gizi anak setiap tahunnya. Dalam mengatasi masalah ini, diperlukan upaya perubahan perilaku terutama pada ibu yang memiliki anak berusia 6-23 bulan, untuk meningkatkan kualitas praktik pemberian MP-ASI. Upaya perubahan perilaku harus dimulai dengan perubahan sikap terhadap praktik pemberian MP-ASI yang direkomendasikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor utama yang mempengaruhi sikap ibu terhadap praktik pemberian MP-ASI untuk anak usia 6-23 bulan di Kabupaten Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain potong lintang kuantitatif dengan sampel sebanyak 236 ibu yang memiliki anak usia 6-23 bulan, menggunakan pengambilan sampel acak sederhana. Analisis univariat dilakukan menggunakan distribusi frekuensi, sedangkan analisis bivariat dan multivariat menggunakan uji regresi logistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor utama yang mempengaruhi sikap ibu terhadap praktik pemberian MP-ASI meliputi tingkat pendidikan (p-value=0,022), usia ibu (p-value=0,064), jumlah anak (p-value=0,035), akses informasi melalui buku kesehatan ibu dan anak (KIA) (p-value=0,038), serta ketersediaan pangan rumah tangga (p-value=0,003)References
