Lidah berfungsi untuk membantu proses pencernaan makanan, dan pengecap rasa. Kanker lidah terjadi akibat pertumbuhan sel-sel abnormal yang dapat bermetastasis dengan cepat karena lidah kaya jaringan limfatik dan pembuluh darah. Radioterapi merupakan salah satu pengobatan bagi pasien dengan diagnosa kanker yang memerlukan alat imobilisasi. Imobilisasi memberikan kestabuilan pada objek untuk menghindari efek samping. Di Rumah Sakit Indriati Solo Baru, masker thermoplast digunakan sebagai alat imobilisasi, berbeda dengan bite block yang umumnya digunakan. Tujuan Penelitian ini mengobservasi pelaksanaan terapi radiasi pada pasien kanker lidah menggunakan teknik IMRT di Instalasi Onkologi Radiasi Rumah Sakit Indriati Solo Baru. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian Kualitatf dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Dengan mengambil 3 pasien Kanker Lidah yang sedang menjalani terapi radiasi, Hasil penelitian pelaksanaan Radioterapi pada kasus Kanker Lidah berurutan dari Konsultasi dokter, CT Simulator, deliniasi, Treatment Planning System (TPS), Verfikasi dengan EPID, dan Treatment menggunakan mesin LINAC, Kesimpulan penelitian Analisis Prosedur penyinaran Radioterapi pada kanker lidah dengan imobilisasi masker thermoplast pada pasien kanker lidah di Unit Onkologi Radiasi Rumah Sakit Indriati Solo Baru. Penggunaan teknik IMRT bertujuan untuk mendistribusikan dosis radiasi pada tumor dengan meminimalkan radiasi pada jaringan sehat di sekitarnya. Alasan penggunaan Masker thermoplast agar dapat mengfiksasi dengan baik area radiasi pada pasien dengan kasus kanker lidah.References
