PENGARUH CORE STABILITY EXERCISE TERHADAP FUNGSI TRUNK DAN AKTIVITAS FUNGSIONAL PADA LANSIA PASCA STROKE

Stroke pada lansia menduduki peringkat kedua penyebab kematian dan kecacatan terbesar hampir diseluruh dunia serta menjadi masalah kesehatan global. Pasca stroke mayoritas pasien mengalami penurunan fungsi trunk yang akan berpengaruh pada kemampuan fungsionalnya sehingga pasien akan mengalami kesuitan dalam melakukan gerakan-gerakan fungsional yang sangat dibutuhkan dalam aktivitas sehari-hari. Penurunan fungsi trunk juga menjadi penyebab buruknya postur pada pasien pasca stroke dan juga menyebabkan ketergantungan pasien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh pemberian latihan stabilitas inti dengan metode ADIM (Abdominal Draw in Manuever) terhadap fungsi trunk dan aktivitas fungsional pada lansia pasca stroke. Dua hipotesis utama diuji dalam penelitian ini: pertama, apakah latihan stabilitas inti berdampak signifikan terhadap fungsi trunk pada lansia pasca stroke; dan kedua, apakah latihan stabilitas inti berdampak signifikan terhadap aktivitas fungsional pada lansia pasca stroke. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimental dengan rancangan one group pretes dan posttest. Kelompok yang diteliti adalah pasien hemiparese poststroke yang diberikan latihan stabilitas inti dengan metode ADIM.Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari latihan stabilitas inti dengan metode ADIM terhadap peningkatan fungsi trunk dan aktivitas fungsional pada lansia pasca stroke. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa latihan stabilitas inti dapat menjadi intervensi yang efektif dalam program rehabilitasi untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup lansia pasca stroke.References
