EFEKTIVITAS PEMBERIAN LIDAH BUAYA (ALOE VERA) TERHADAP PENYEMBUHAN LUKA BAKAR

Lidah buaya (Family Liliaceae) merupakan tanaman sukulen yang secara tradisional telah digunakan di negara-negara Asia dan Afrika untuk penyembuhan luka alami, termasuk mempercepat penyembuhan luka bakar selama berabad-abad. Penelitian awal menunjukkan bahwa lidah buaya merangsang proliferasi fibroblas, meningkatkan sintesis kolagen dan merangsang angiogenesis. Lidah buaya juga diklaim memiliki kualitas antimikroba dan kemampuan untuk meningkatkan mikrosirkulasi, yang pada gilirannya meningkatkan oksigenasi dasar luka. Luka bakar berada di peringkat keempat dalam semua cedera dan mempengaruhi tidak hanya kulit tetapi seluruh tubuh sesuai dengan kedalaman dan ekstensinya yang disebabkan oleh trauma panas atau trauma dingin (frost bite) Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan data dari berbagai sumber jurnal penelitian yang dilakukan sebelumnya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa lidah buaya terbukti efektif dapat mempercepat penyembuhan luka bakar terkhusus derajat satu dan dua karena dapat mempercepat proses proliferasi dan epitelisasi luka.
