KAJIAN KETAHANAN PANGAN RUMAH TANGGA DAN STUNTING DI DAERAH PEDESAAN PESISIR DAN PULAU KECIL TERLUAR

Stunting yang merupakan manifestasi dari kekurangan gizi kronis pada anak di bawah lima tahun, masih menjadi tantangan kesehatan yang signifikan di Indonesia. Meskipun upaya nasional telah dilakukan untuk mengatasi masalah ini, prevalensi stunting masih relatif tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi hubungan antara ketahanan pangan rumah tangga dan stunting pada anak di daerah pedesaan pesisir dan pulau kecil terluar Kabupaten Siau Tagulandang Biaro (Sitaro), Sulawesi Utara. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan desain penelitian cross-sectional, di mana data dikumpulkan dari 59 anak beserta orang tua pada tahun 2021. Lokasi pengumpulan data meliputi Kecamatan Siau Timur sebagai pedesaan pesisir, serta Pulau Makalehi sebagai pulau kecil terluar. Ketahanan pangan rumah tangga diukur menggunakan US-FSSM (US Household Food Security/Hunger Survey Module), sementara status stunting ditentukan dengan mengukur z-score tinggi badan anak menurut usia (TB/U). Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa 6,8% rumah tangga mengalami kerawanan pangan rumah tangga, 15,3% anak mengalami stunting. Analisis lebih lanjut menggunakan uji Fisher Exact menemukan bahwa p-value untuk hubungan variabel ketahanan pangan rumah tangga dan stunting yaitu sebesar 0.494 (> 0.05). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak ditemukan hubungan yang signifikan secara statistik antara ketahanan pangan rumah tangga dan stunting. Temuan ini menegaskan kompleksitas masalah stunting dan menyoroti perlunya penelitian lebih lanjut untuk memahami faktor-faktor yang mendasari kondisi ini.References
