PELAKSANAAN DIAGNOSIS KOMUNITAS DALAM MENURUNKAN JUMLAH KASUS DIABETES MELITUS DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS KELURAHAN GEMBONG, KECAMATAN GEMBONG, KABUPATEN TANGERANG, PROVINSI BANTEN

Diabetes melitus adalah penyakit metabolik kronis yang ditandai dengan peningkatan kadar glukosa darah dan dapat menyebabkan berbagai komplikasi. Prevalensi diabetes mellitus cukup tinggi dengan mayoritas diagnosis adalah diabetes mellitus tipe 2 (DMT2). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat di Wilayah Puskesmas Gembong mengenai Diabetes Melitus sehingga dapat menurunkan kasus Diabetes Melitus dalam jangka panjang. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan studi observasional dengan melakukan diagnosis komunitas yang permasalahannya diidentifikasi dengan menggunakan paradigma Blum. Metode fishbone dilakukan untuk menentukan akar penyebab dalam penelitian ini. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan sistem. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan mengenai Diabetes Melitus yang dilihat dari rata-rata nilai post-test peserta adalah > 80. Seluruh peserta dapat mempraktikkan senam kaki diabetes yang baik dan benar. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian didapatkan kegiatan diagnosis komunitas ini meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat Desa Cangkudu mengenai Diabetes Melitus dan pencegahannya serta senam kaki diabetes.
