INFEKSI SALURAN KEMIH PADA ANAK – LAPORAN KASUS

Infeksi Saluran Kemih (ISK) termasuk salah satu penyakit yang sering ditemukan pada anak-anak, ditandai dengan keberadaan bakteri dalam jumlah signifikan dalam urin. Laporan kasus ini didedikasikan untuk menguraikan sebuah kejadian ISK pada seorang anak, dengan penekanan pada langkah-langkah klasifikasi dan diagnostik yang penting untuk menilai risiko rekurensi. Kasus yang diuraikan di sini adalah tentang ISK episode pertama, sederhana, dan ringan pada seorang anak perempuan berusia lima tahun, yang dikelola secara efektif dengan terapi antibiotik. Manajemen komprehensif ISK menuntut pemahaman mendalam tentang kategorisasinya, mencakup lokasi infeksi, tingkat keparahan, sifat episodik, presentasi simptomatik, dan faktor penyulit. ISK pada anak-anak sering kali menimbulkan tantangan diagnostik karena sifat gejala yang tidak spesifik dan potensi morbiditas renal yang signifikan jika tidak ditangani dengan cepat dan tepat. Kasus ini menekankan pentingnya evaluasi klinis terperinci, didukung oleh investigasi laboratorium seperti analisis urin dan kultur urin, untuk mengonfirmasi diagnosis dan membimbing intervensi terapeutik. Dalam ISK pediatrik, membedakan antara infeksi saluran kemih bawah, seringkali muncul sebagai sistitis, dan infeksi saluran kemih atas, seperti pielonefritis, sangat penting karena perbedaan strategi pengobatan dan implikasi terhadap hasil pasien.References
