PERAN EDUKASI DALAM MENGURANGI KASUS TUBERKULOSIS PARU BARU DI WILAYAH PUSKESMAS SINDANG JAYA

Tuberkulosis paru, sebagai penyakit kronis yang disebabkan oleh Mycobacterium tuberculosis, tercatat oleh WHO sebagai penyakit dengan prevalensi yang tinggi di Indonesia, menempati posisi kedua terbanyak di dunia. Dalam periode Januari hingga November 2023, terjadi lonjakan signifikan kasus baru TB paru di wilayah Sindang Jaya, dengan total 139 kasus yang tercatat di Puskesmas setempat. Mengingat luasnya area pelayanan Puskesmas Sindang Jaya, terdapat kebutuhan mendesak untuk evaluasi komprehensif guna mengidentifikasi dan mengatasi peningkatan insiden ini. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan pemahaman komunitas tentang TB paru dan mengimplementasikan intervensi terarah. Melalui pendekatan diagnosis komunitas dan analisis situasi yang mendalam, studi ini mengidentifikasi masalah utama menggunakan Paradigma Blum dan menetapkan prioritas melalui metode non-skoring seperti Teknik Delphi. Analisis penyebab masalah dilakukan dengan diagram fishbone, dan intervensi dirancang berdasarkan kerangka logis. Intervensi yang dilaksanakan meliputi sosialisasi tentang TB paru, edukasi tentang etika batuk dan praktik higiene tangan. Hasil intervensi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pengetahuan masyarakat Desa Sindang Jaya tentang TB paru, dengan lebih dari 80% partisipan menunjukkan pemahaman yang lebih baik pasca-intervensi. Kesimpulannya, dengan penerapan diagnosis komunitas, Desa Sindang Jaya diidentifikasi sebagai area dengan prevalensi TB paru yang tinggi. Identifikasi faktor penyebab dan implementasi intervensi penyuluhan kesehatan berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran dan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang penyakit ini dan langkah-langkah pencegahannya.References
