Analisis 5S Dalam Upaya Pencegahan Kecelakaan Kerja Pada Gudang Material Di PT. XYZ

Abstract

XYZ is engaged in the manufacturing process of making heavy equipment products. PT. XYZ has a goal to become an integrated agribusiness company that is sustainable and environmentally friendly. In order to be able to realize the goals of the company, of course this factory creates an atmosphere of a safe, comfortable, effective, and efficient work environment so that it can survive and compete with heavy equipment manufacturing companies. Therefore, in an effort to increase productivity by paying attention to aspects of the work environment at each work station, companies need to evaluate the work environment from the aspects of 5S (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, and Shitsuke). With the aim to provide improvements based on aspects of 5S in the material warehouse.This research is a purely descriptive type, because in this study there was no design and application in the company. The variables used in this study are the 5S method (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, and Shitsuke). Source of data used to collect data through observation and interviews with the company both leaders and employees. Analysis conducted at PT. XYZ is based on the activities of Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, and Shitsuke. The results of the study indicate that the material warehouse work station is not in accordance with 5S activities optimally, and given recommendations for improvements that must be implemented by the company so that the achievement of 5S can be optimized.
