EVALUASI EFEKTIVITAS PENGENDALIAN TEKNIK (ENGINEERING CONTROL) PAJANAN ACTIVE PHARMACEUTICAL INGREDIENT (API) PADA PEKERJA DI PROSES PENIMBANGAN BAHAN BAKU OBAT PT. XY – STUDI KASUS PEMBUATAN TABLET OBAT DHASOLONE 5 mg

Dampak kesehatan dapat menjadi ancaman pada pekerja di sektor industri farmasi karena potensi risiko terpajan debu Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) pada konsentrasI tinggi yang merupakan bahan aktif obat yang bersifat senyawa kuat (potent) selama proses penimbangan bahan baku. Tujuan dari penelitian ini melakukan evaluasi efektivitas pengendalian melalui rekayasa teknik (Engineering Control) dalam mengendalikan tingkat pajanan pada proses penimbangan menggunakan studi kasus pembuatan tablet obat Dhasolone 5 mg yang menggunakan API Prednisolone yang termasuk OEB (Occupational Exposure Band) 4. Sebanyak 3 sampel pajanan personal diambil sebagai data awal pajanan dan dilakukan analisis laboratorium untuk mengetahui nilai TWA – 8 jam (Time Weighted Average) dan dibandingkan dengan nilai OEL (Occupational Exposure Limit) API Prednisolone 9 µg/m3. Proses perbaikan pada lokasi penimbangan dilakukan melalui penerapan rekayasa pengendalian teknik dengan pemasangan Weighing Booth, dan dilakukan pengambilan sampel ulang pajanan personal sebanyak 3 sampel dan lingkungan sebanyak 5 titik di ruang penimbangan untuk melihat efektivitas pengendalian yang dilakukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemasangan unit Weighing Booth di lokasi penimbangan efektif mengendalikan risiko pajanan API pada pekerja dengan hasil akhir pengukuran pajanan personal rata-rata sebesar 0,440±6,72 µg/m3, dan hasil pengukuran pajanan lingkungan dengan rata-rata 0,451±4,81 µg/m3. Disimpulkan bahwa pengendalian pajanan melalui rekayasan teknik efektif mengurangi potensi risiko pajanan API pada pekerja di proses penimbangan bahan baku obat dari kategori pajanan 4 menjadi kategori pajanan 2References
