In Indonesia, DHF tends to increase morbidity and the spread of infected areas is also increasing. This disease, both endemic and epidemic, occurs everywhere, especially in tropical and subtropical countries. This disease not only affects the health of individuals, but also the health of families and communities. In essence, diseases caused by vectors are inseparable from the behavioral and environmental factors that are caused, according to Blum's theory (HL. Bloom: 1998) explains that there are four factors that affect the degree of public health, namely behavioral factors (45 percent), environment (30 percent ), health services (20 percent) and genetic factors (5 percen). In 2018, there were 56.28 cases reported in Pesawaran District for every 100,000 people. The aim of this study was to identify environmental and behavioral factors associated with DHF cases in Pesawaran District in 2019. A random sampling technique was used to select 102 participants for the case-control sample for this study. technique. The habit of emptying the water tank (p = 0.047 and OR = 2.23), the habit of burying used equipment (p = 0.003 and OR = 3.3), the habit of using insecticides (p = 0.005 and OR 3.16), the habit of drying clothes indoors (p = 0.002 OR 3.9), and the presence of mosquito larvae (p = 0.008 and OR 3.0). With an OR of 7.982, hanging clothes indoors is the most variable case of DHF in Pesawaran District.References
