EFEKTIVITAS TELEMONITORING DALAM MENCEGAH EKSASERBASI PADA PASIEN PENYAKIT PARU OBSTRUKTIF KRONIS

Penyakit paru obstruktif kronis (PPOK) merupakan penyakit paru progresif dengan gejala sesak napas terus menerus dan keterbatasan aliran udara non-reversibel akibat gangguan pada saluran napas dan atau kelainan alveolar paru. Pasien PPOK dapat mengalami episode eksaserbasi yang menggambarkan perburukan akut gejala pernapasan selama perjalanan penyakitnya. Eksaserbasi berdampak buruk pada pasien PPOK yaitu mempercepat fungsi paru menurun, menurunkan kualitas hidup, dan meningkatkan biaya perawatan. Telemonitoring menjadi salah satu upaya dalam manajemen perawatan pasien PPOK. Telemonitoring dapat digunakan untuk mendeteksi secara dini kejadian eksaserbasi sehingga komplikasi akibat eksaserbasi ini dapat dicegah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas telemonitoring dalam mencegah eksaserbasi pada pasien PPOK. Metode yang digunakan dalam artikel ini adalah literature review. Penelusuran artikel dilakukan pada database online Pubmed, Proquest, Scopus, Sage, dan Ebsco dengan menggunakan kata kunci telemonitoring, eksaserbasi, penyakit paru obstrutif kronik. Artikel yang digunakan setelah diseleksi adalah 10 artikel. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa telemonitoring pada pasien PPOK dapat diterapkan dengan menggunakan platform online yang terhubung pada perangkat elektronik. Telemonitoring memberikan banyak manfaat dalam manajemen perawatan PPOK. Telemonitoring dapat mencegah kejadian eksaserbasi pada pasien PPOK. Disarankan telemonitoring dapat dimasukkan dalam manajemen perawatan pasien PPOK guna mencegah kejadian eksaserbasi sehingga dapat mengurangi kunjungan yang tidak perlu ke layanan gawat darurat dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup pasien.References
