Abstract

Teori Makkiyah dan madaniyah merupakan salah satu bentuk study Alquran dalam bentuk sebuah kajian teori yang melatar belakangi turunnya ayat-ayat Alquran. Ayat-ayat Alquran yang turun dapat diklasifikasikan dalam Makkiyah yaitu kelompok ayat-ayat yang berdasarkan geografisnya turun di Makkah dan Madaniyah ialah kelompok ayat-ayat yang turun di Madinah. Artikel ini ditulis menggunakan metode penelitian desktiptif dengan pendekatan study literatur. Hasil tulisan ini menjelaskan tentang a) Defenisi makkiyah dan madaniyah,b) Ciri-ciri makkiyah dan madaniyah, c) Klasifikasi makkiyah dan madaniyah, d) Teori dalam mengkaji makkiyah dan madaniyah, e) Faedah mempelajari makkiyah dan madaniyah
