PENGGUNAAN ELSA SPEAK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PUBLIC SPEAKING DAN PRONUNCIATION BAGI SISWA SMP BUDI MURNI 1 MEDAN

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan public speaking dan pronunciation dalam bentuk latihan fonem, petunjuk fonetik, latihan intonasi, latihan tekanan suku kata, latihan irama, dan latihan dialog dengan menggunakan aplikasi ELSA Speak. Sampel yang dipilih ialah 30 siswa SMP Budi Murni 1 Medan dengan menggunakan metode eksperimental pre-test dan post-test. Data dianalisis secara kuantitatif yang menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan sebesar 42,32% dengan nilai pre-test ialah 41,12 dan nilai post-test ialah 73,21. Data dianalisis secara kualitatif menunjukkan perangkat lunak dalam pengajaran pengucapan bahasa Inggris bisa meningkatkan kinerja siswa dalam mengucapkan kata-kata bahasa Inggris, baik bunyi fonemik maupun bunyi fonetis. Siswa juga setuju bahwa ELSA Speak dapat meningkatkan kemandirian siswa dalam belajar kapan saja dan dimana saja dengan pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pendidikan.References
