Kata Kunci: Hipertensi, riwayat keluarga, penyakit ginjal, obesitas, merokok Abstract Hypertension remains a major public health concern with increasing prevalence across Indonesia, particularly in the eastern regions. This study aimed to analyze the association between family history, kidney disease, obesity, and smoking with the incidence of hypertension among adult patients at Kalooran General Hospital, Amurang. A cross-sectional design with a quantitative approach was applied to 103 purposively selected respondents. Data were analyzed using Chi-square and multivariate logistic regression tests. The results showed a significant association between hypertension and family history (p=0.003), kidney disease (p=0.001), and obesity (p<0.001). Smoking, however, was not statistically associated (p=0.955). The three significant variables simultaneously accounted for 65.3% of the variance in hypertension incidence (Nagelkerke R²=0.653). These findings highlight the importance of early detection and risk-factor-based interventions in clinical hypertension management strategies.
