Kata Kunci: relaksasi autogenik, kecemasan, kanker payudara, kemoterapi ABSTRACT Anxiety is a common psychological response experienced by breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy, often affecting their quality of life and treatment adherence. One non-pharmacological intervention that can reduce anxiety is autogenic relaxation. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of autogenic relaxation on the anxiety levels of breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy at Murni Teguh Hospital Medan. A quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group approach was used. A total of 64 respondents were selected using purposive sampling and divided equally into intervention and control groups. The autogenic relaxation intervention was administered for 15–20 minutes over three consecutive days. Anxiety levels were measured using the Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (ZSAS). The results showed a significant decrease in anxiety levels in the intervention group compared to the control group. These findings suggest that autogenic relaxation is effective as an independent nursing intervention to reduce anxiety in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.
