Kata Kunci: Zat Besi Ibu Hamil, Berat Badan Lahir Rendah Abstract Background: One indicator of the level of public health is the maternal mortality rate (MMR) and infant mortality rate (IMR). One of the causes of the high incidence of IMR includes low birth weight or LBW. One of the factors that causes birth weight in babies is a lack of hemoglobin levels in pregnant women, which is then called anemia. Pregnant women's compliance with taking iron tablets is an important factor in ensuring an increase in hemoglobin levels in pregnant women Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between adherence to consuming blood supplement tablets in pregnant women and the incidence of low birth weight (LBW) babies based on a summary of the results of previous studies. Research Method: This study used a systematic literature review method to determine the relationship between adherence to taking blood supplement tablets in pregnant women and the incidence of low birth weight babies. This research synthesizes the results of several studies that have been published in accordance with the substance of this article. Literature search through searches via Google Scholar Search, PubMed, and ScienceDirect Results: The results of the analysis show that as a whole the article explains that non-compliance with taking blood supplement tablets in pregnant women has an 8x higher risk of LBW Conclusion: Compliance with taking blood supplement tablets during pregnancy, namely a minimum of 90 tablets during pregnancy, can reduce the risk of anemia which has a significant relationship with the incidence of low birth weight (LBW) babies.Downloads
