Pengaruh Latar Belakang Sekolah Asal dan Self-Efficacy Terhadap Prestasi Akademik Mahasiswa di Universitas XYZ

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh latar belakang sekolah asal dan self-efficacy terhadap prestasi akademik mahasiswa, serta untuk mengetahui adakah interaksi antara latar belakang sekolah asal dan self-efficacy terhadap prestasi akademik mahasiswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada mahasiswa program studi Teknik Informatika di Universitas XYZ. Sampel penelitian ini diperoleh melalui metode Multi Stage Random Sampling, rancangan penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah desain ANOVA dua arah faktorial 2X2 dengan tiga variabel yang terdiri dari dua variabel bebas, yaitu latar belakang sekolah asal dan self-efficacy, serta satu variabel terikat yaitu prestasi akademik mahasiswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik kuesioner yang terdiri dari kuesioner terbuka dan tertutup. Data yang terkumpul selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA dua arah yang dilanjutkan dengan uji t. Pengujian hipotesis penelitian dengan menggunakan ANOVA dua arah, membuktikan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antar kolom dan antar baris. Serta Hasil pengujian hipotesis membuktikan adanya interaksi yang signifikan antar faktor kolom dan baris. Dengan demikian, penelitian menunjukkan prestasi akademik mahasiswa yang berlatar belakang sekolah asal IPA lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan mahasiswa yang berlatar belakang sekolah asal non-IPA, serta prestasi akademik mahasiswa yang memiliki self-efficacy tinggi, lebih tinggi jika dibandingkan dengan mahasiswa yang memiliki self-efficacy rendah. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of original school background and self-efficacy on student academic achievement, and to determine whether there was an interaction between home school background and self-efficacy on student academic achievement. This research was conducted on students of the Informatics Engineering study program at XYZ University. The research sample was obtained using the Multi Stage Random Sampling method. The research design used in this study was a 2X2 factorial two-way ANOVA design with three variables consisting of two independent variables, namely school background and self-efficacy, as well as one dependent variable, namely student academic achievement. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire technique consisting of open and closed questionnaires. The collected data were then analyzed using a two-way ANOVA followed by a t test. Testing the research hypothesis using two-way ANOVA, proved that there were significant differences between columns and between rows. And the results of hypothesis testing prove that there is a significant interaction between column and row factors. Thus, the research shows that the academic achievement of students from IPA schools is higher than students from non-IPA schools, and the academic achievement of students who have high self-efficacy is higher than students who have self-efficacy low.Downloads
