PENINGKATAN PENGETAHUAN ORANG TUA BALITA TENTANG PENCEGAHAN DIARE MELALUI PENYULUHAN KESEHATAN DI DESA X KABUPATEN TANGERANG TAHUN 2025

Diare pada balita masih menjadi masalah kesehatan di seluruh dunia dan merupakan penyebab kematian yang tertinggi ketiga pada anak di bawah 5 tahun. Berdasarkan data WHO tahun 2024, tercatat sekitar 443.832 balita meninggal dunia akibat diare setiap tahunnya. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan meningkatkan pengetahuan para orang tua terkait pencegahan diare, terutama mengenai perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat, sanitasi lingkungan, serta pemberian makanan dan air yang aman. Untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan orang tua balita mengenai pentingnya perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat dalam pencegahan diare melalui kegiatan penyuluhan kesehatan, yang dinilai melalui perbedaan rata-rata tingkat pengetahuan orang tua balita tentang pencegahan diare sebelum dan sesudah diberikan penyuluhan. Penelitian ini bersifat pre eksperimental one group pretest-posttest design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 19 orang tua balita yang berada di Desa X. Penarikan sampel berdasarkan purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang diberikan pada orang tua, di awal dan di akhir penyuluhan. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Diperoleh 100% dari peserta mencapai post-test dengan minimal nilai 70, serta terdapat selisih peningkatan skor rata-rata sebesar 21.05 poin yang diperoleh dari pre-test dan post-test yang diberikan. Penyuluhan kesehatan terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan orang tua balita tentang pencegahan diare. Edukasi serupa diharapkan dapat dilakukan secara berkelanjutan untuk meminimalisir angka kejadian diare pada balita.References
