EFEKTIVITAS TERAPI AKUPUNKTUR TERHADAP NYERI AKUT PADA PASIEN BELL’S PALSY

Bell’s palsy merupakan kelumpuhan saraf fasialis perifer yang sering disertai nyeri akut pada area kepala dan wajah akibat proses inflamasi saraf. Nyeri yang tidak tertangani secara optimal dapat menimbulkan ketidaknyamanan, gangguan aktivitas sehari-hari, serta menurunkan kualitas hidup pasien. Permasalahan ini menuntut adanya intervensi keperawatan yang efektif, termasuk pendekatan komplementer untuk membantu mengurangi intensitas nyeri. Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan penerapan asuhan keperawatan pada pasien Bell’s palsy dengan masalah keperawatan nyeri akut melalui terapi komplementer akupunktur. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan pendekatan proses keperawatan yang meliputi pengkajian, penetapan diagnosis, perencanaan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Pengkajian dilakukan secara komprehensif menggunakan pendekatan IPPA dan PQRST untuk mengidentifikasi karakteristik nyeri. Diagnosis keperawatan yang ditegakkan adalah nyeri akut berhubungan dengan agen pencedera fisiologis berupa inflamasi saraf fasialis. Intervensi yang diberikan meliputi pemantauan intensitas nyeri, pemberian terapi akupunktur sesuai prosedur, serta edukasi teknik relaksasi sebagai pendukung terapi. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan format SOAP untuk menilai perubahan respons subjektif dan objektif pasien. Hasil menunjukkan adanya penurunan intensitas nyeri yang signifikan, ditandai dengan berkurangnya skala nyeri, wajah tampak lebih rileks, serta peningkatan kenyamanan pasien setelah terapi akupunktur diberikan. Dengan demikian, terapi akupunktur dapat direkomendasikan sebagai intervensi keperawatan komplementer yang efektif, aman, dan mendukung manajemen nyeri akut pada pasien Bell’s palsy.References
