GAMBARAN STATUS GIZI PADA PASIEN HIPERTENSI DI PUSKESMAS TAMANGAPA

Hipertensi merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan utama yang prevalensinya terus meningkat dan menjadi faktor risiko penting penyakit kardiovaskular. Salah satu faktor yang berperan dalam terjadinya hipertensi adalah status gizi, yang umumnya dinilai menggunakan Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT). Kelebihan berat badan dan obesitas dapat memicu peningkatan tekanan darah melalui mekanisme resistensi insulin, aktivasi sistem saraf simpatis, dan retensi natrium. Di Indonesia, perubahan pola makan dan gaya hidup menyebabkan meningkatnya jumlah pasien hipertensi dengan status gizi tidak normal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran status gizi pada pasien hipertensi di Puskesmas Tamangapa. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif observasional. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh pasien hipertensi yang tercatat di Puskesmas Tamangapa tahun 2025. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 25 pasien hipertensi yang diambil menggunakan metode total sampling. Variabel penelitian adalah status gizi pasien hipertensi yang diukur menggunakan Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT). Alat pengumpulan data berupa data sekunder yang meliputi berat badan dan tinggi badan pasien. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan menyajikan distribusi frekuensi berdasarkan kategori IMT menurut kriteria WHO Asia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar pasien hipertensi memiliki status gizi normal sebanyak 16 orang (64%), diikuti kategori overweight sebanyak 8 orang (32%), dan obesitas kelas I sebanyak 1 orang (4%). Kesimpulan penelitian ini mayoritas pasien hipertensi di Puskesmas Tamangapa memiliki status gizi normal hingga overweight. Pemantauan dan pengendalian status gizi tetap diperlukan sebagai bagian penting dalam upaya pengelolaan dan pencegahan komplikasi hipertensi.References
