INFEKSI SOIL TRANSMITTED HELMINTHS DAN STATUS GIZI ANAK SEKOLAH DASAR: LITERATURE REVIEW

Infeksi soil-transmitted helminths (STH) merupakan masalah kesehatan global yang sering berdampak pada status gizi anak usia sekolah dasar. Infeksi dari Ascaris lumbricoides, Trichuris trichiura, dan hookworm berpotensi mengganggu pertumbuhan melalui kompetisi nutrisi dan gangguan absorpsi. Literature review dilakukan melalui database PubMed, ScienceDirect, dan GoogleScholar dengan batasan publikasi pada tahun 2015–2025, free full text, dan kriteria PICOS yang melibatkan anak usia sekolah dasar, diagnosis feses, pembanding status infeksi, penilaian z-score gizi, serta desain studi observasional. Dari proses pencarian database, delapan artikel memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan dianalisis secara tematik. Ascaris lumbricoides dan Trichuris trichiura menunjukkan hubungan yang lebih konsisten dengan stunting, underweight, dan wasting, terutama pada populasi dengan prevalensi tinggi. Sebaliknya, efek hookworm cenderung tidak konsisten terhadap indikator z-score gizi. Infeksi STH, khususnya Ascaris lumbricoides dan Trichuris trichiura, berperan dalam gangguan status gizi anak sekolah, meskipun demikian, studi longitudinal yang disertai dengan faktor intensitas infeksi diperlukan untuk memperkuat bukti kausal.References
