ANALISIS RISIKO LABORATORIUM KIMIA: IMPLEMENTASI HIRADC DI POLITEKNIK X MAKASSAR

Laboratorium kimia di Politeknik X memiliki potensi bahaya yang tinggi, terutama terkait paparan bahan kimia beracun, mudah terbakar, korosif, dan reaktif. Risiko semakin meningkat karena praktik keselamatan yang belum optimal, penggunaan alat pelindung diri (APD) yang tidak konsisten, serta keterbatasan fasilitas. Kondisi ini dapat menyebabkan kecelakaan kerja, iritasi kulit dan saluran pernapasan, hingga gangguan kesehatan jangka panjang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis risiko di Laboratorium Kimia Politeknik X Makassar menggunakan metode Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Determining Controls (HIRADC). Penelitian bersifat deskriptif kuantitatif dan melibatkan dua instruktur laboratorium melalui observasi langsung serta wawancara mendalam. Analisis HIRADC dilakukan dengan mengidentifikasi potensi bahaya, menilai risiko berdasarkan kemungkinan (likelihood) dan dampak (consequence), serta menentukan pengendalian risiko melalui tindakan teknis, administratif, dan penggunaan APD. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dari 31 aktivitas kerja, terdapat 12 aktivitas (38,7%) dengan risiko ekstrem, 8 aktivitas (25,8%) risiko tinggi, 8 aktivitas (25,8%) risiko sedang, dan 3 aktivitas (9,7%) risiko rendah. Risiko ekstrem terutama terkait penggunaan pelarut organik, asam pekat, reaksi dalam wadah tertutup, serta fume hood yang tidak berfungsi. Risiko tinggi meliputi penyiapan, penyimpanan, dan pemanasan bahan kimia. Secara keseluruhan, bahaya kimia merupakan sumber risiko dominan, diikuti bahaya fisik dan ergonomis. Temuan ini menekankan perlunya penguatan pengendalian teknis, kepatuhan terhadap SOP, penggunaan APD lengkap, serta pelatihan keselamatan berkala untuk seluruh personel laboratorium.References
