Abstract

Forced Expiratory Volume in One Second (FEV1) merupakan indikator penting dalam menilai fungsi paru serta menjadi prediktor kapasitas latihan dan status kesehatan, baik pada populasi umum maupun atlet. Aktivitas fisik yang melibatkan ekstremitas bawah dan atas dapat memengaruhi nilai FEV1 secara berbeda, dengan bukti bahwa latihan ekstremitas bawah berpotensi meningkatkan fungsi paru lebih signifikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan membandingkan nilai FEV1 antara atlet sepak bola dan atlet tinju. Penelitian menggunakan desain potong lintang dengan teknik purposive random sampling pada atlet pria berusia 15–25 tahun yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Subjek terdiri dari 19 atlet sepak bola dan 19 atlet tinju yang berasal dari Sekolah Keberbakatan Olahraga Flobamora dan Naikolan Boxing Camp. Kupang, Nusa Tenggara Timur. Pengukuran FEV1 dilakukan menggunakan spirometer terkalibrasi sesuai prosedur standar. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji t tidak berpasangan karena data terdistribusi normal, dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak IBM SPSS Statistics versi 28. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rerata FEV1 pada atlet sepak bola sebesar 3,49 ± 0,32 liter dan pada atlet tinju sebesar 3,48 ± 0,39 liter. Uji t tidak berpasangan menunjukkan nilai p = 0,979, sehingga tidak terdapat perbedaan bermakna secara statistik antara kedua kelompok.
