POTENSI KANDUNGAN MENTIMUN (CUCUMIS SATIVUS) UNTUK MENURUNKAN TEKANAN DARAH PADA PENDERITA HIPERTENSI: SYSTEMATIC LITERATUR REVIEW

Asupan makanan berbasis nabati dan efeknya terhadap tekanan darah dikaitkan dengan tekanan darah yang lebih rendah. Fokus terapeutik terhadap penurunan tekanan darah tinggi ditemukan didalam kandungan senyawa yang terdapat dalam buah-buahan salah satunya adalah mentimun (Cucumis sativus). Meskipun, mentimun digunakan secara luas dalam pengobatan tradisional, masih sangat sedikit penelitian yang dilaporkan dalam bentuk literatur ilmiah tentang peran serta aktivitas terapeutiknya terhadap penderita hipertensi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi kandungan buah mentimun, kajian non farmakologis untuk aspek terapi pendamping bagi penderita hipertensi. Pencarian literatur yang luas dilakukan untuk menemukan dan mengumpulkan informasi terbaru tentang kandungan buah mentimun (Cucumis sativus), efek farmakologis dan aktivitas terapeutik pada tekanan darah. Basis data yang digunakan termasuk PubMed, PubMed Central dan Google Scholar dengan pencarian secara manual ataupun bantuan perangkat lunak Publish and Perish dengan rentang waktu tahun 2005 hingga 2025. Jurnal terpilih terintegrasi dengan Scopus dan DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals) yang disusun menggunakan pedoman PRIMA 2020. Hasil penelitian menemukan 9 jurnal yang dimulai dari uji ekstrak buah mentimun secara in vivo dan in vitro pada hewan coba hingga ke individu dengan hipertensi serta terdapat pembanding dengan menggunakan sumber buah lain. Seluruh hasil dari studi literatur terkait dengan potensi ekstrak buah mentimun, terbukti secara signifikan dalam menurunkan tekanan darah secara langsung maupun faktor resiko yang menjadi pemicu.References
