Abstract

Pemberian ASI eksklusif pada bayi usia 0 hingga 6 bulan memberikan manfaat luar biasa yang tidak dapat disaingi oleh makanan atau minuman apapun. ASI eksklusif bukan hanya sekedar memenuhi kebutuhan nutrisi fisik, tetapi juga berperan dalam membentuk fondasi kesehatan dan kecerdasan. Cakupan ASI eksklusif di Indonesia telah mencapai target program tahun 2023. Salah satu faktor yang diyakini turut menentukan keberhasilan program ini adalah breastfeeding father.  Penelitian  ini  bertujuan  untuk  mengevaluasi  pengaruh  penerapan breastfeeding father terhadap  keberhasilan  pemberian  ASI  Eksklusif  di  wilayah kerja Puskesmas Mekarbaru Kota Tanjungpinang.  Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional, melibatkan ibu menyusui sebagai responden. Penelitian dilakukan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Mekar Baru Kota Tanjungpinang. Populasi adalah pasangan suami istri yang mempunyai anak usia 6-12 bulan dengan sampel berjumlah 62 pasangan suami istri, dipilih dengan quota sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrument kuesioner. Analisis data dengan uji chi-square. Hasil penelitian didapatkan penerapan breastfeeding father kategori baik sebesar 53,72% responden, lebih dari separuh (69,4%) responden berhasil memberikan ASI Eksklusif. Setelah dilakukan uji statistik diperoleh nilai p value = 0,002 yang berarti adanya hubungan antara penerapan breastfeeding father terhadap keberhasilan ASI Eksklusif di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Mekar Baru Kota Tanjungpinang. kesimpulan ini menegaskan  bahwa  breastfeeding father memainkan  peran  penting  dalam  keberhasilan  menyusui  eksklusif.  Oleh karena itu, intervensi yang melibatkan suami dalam edukasi menyusui perlu ditingkatkan untuk mendukung keberhasilan program ASI eksklusif secara menyeluruh.
